What's the biggest mistake when making QR codes?
Printing too small. Rule of thumb: minimum QR size in inches = scan distance in feet × 0.1. A QR on a poster seen from 10 feet away needs to be 1 inch minimum. Billboards at 50 feet need 5-inch QRs. Also: always include error correction level H for printed QRs, not L.
PNG or SVG — which should I download?
SVG for anything being printed (posters, packaging, business cards) — scales infinitely without pixelation. PNG for screen display, email, or online posts at a specific size. Both are offered; SVG is usually the safer default for commercial use.
